Living in the Angus Eco-District

At Cité Angus, you will be among the lucky few to live in the first LEED ND Platinum mixed eco-district in Quebec!

The eco-district is an urban village located across from Jean-Duceppe Park in which businesses and residents share a bustling, eco-friendly and welcoming living environment, inspired by the latest techniques in sustainable urban and environmental design.

2 Public Squares, One Pedestrian Walkway and an Urban Forest

A pedestrian road and an urban forest span the site, which boasts NIP Paysage’s signature landscape designs.

At each end, the site will include a public square surrounded by local businesses. In the middle of the site, an urban forest with mature trees offers a beautiful green space for complete relaxation.

Room for Greening

25% of the Cité Angus site has been reserved for green space in order to maximize the well-being of residents.

95% of rainwater will be captured and reused on site to maintain highly biodiverse landscapes, to water vegetable gardens and, eventually, for a car and bike washing station.

A Mixed Energy-Efficient District

All eight on-site buildings will be accessible via the pedestrian road and connected by an energy looping system that regulates them via thermal-energy exchange.

This entails a 40% reduction in energy consumption in each of the connected buildings and in turn reduces greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.

Active Transportation

The site will also be accessible via 2 bike paths, have a BIXI station, Communauto car-sharing services and 8 electric-vehicle charging stations, along with underground parking directly accessible from each unit.

Access to Angus is easy thanks to a dedicated bus line – the 25 Angus bus – that connects to both the green and orange metro lines.
